  • FAQ Cableski Worlds / E&A championships in Weert

This year we have a very special competition in Weert. Not only will there be an Open World Championship, but for the first time there will be a U-19 World Championship and a Senior 1 World Championship. And at the same time there will be the U15 European Championship and the Senior 2 European Championship.

This does actually create some questions, as some of the normal rules for participation of team and non-team skiers do not work respectively do not exist for this.

In the following FAQ we answer these questions. This document will be updated if new questions arrise, you can also use the comment function to ask open questions (please note that the comment function is moderated, so your questions will not be visible immediately).

Can I ski in the U15 Europeans and the Open Worlds?
No. Each competitor can participate only in one of the competitions. U15 Europeans, U19 Worlds, Open Worlds, Senior 1 Worlds, Senior 2 Europeans (as described in the bulletin for the U15 and Senior2 European Championships).

How is the team selection for the Open Worlds?
For the Open Worlds the team selection is as described in the Rule SC1.2. As per Rule SC1.4 no qualification is necessary (as in any regular World Cableski Championships).

How can non-team skiers participate in the Open Worlds?
For the Open Worlds non-team skiers can compete as individuals as per Rule SC1.3 (as in any regular World Cableski Championships).

How is the team scoring for U15 and U19?
The teams are individual for U15 and U19 with separate team results.

How is the team scoring for Senior 1 and Senior 2?
The teams are individual for Senior 1 and Senior 2 with separate team results. The Senior 1 team participates in the Senior 1 World Cableski Championships, the Senior 2 team participates in the Senior 2 European Cableski Championships. So the rules from the European Senior Cableski Championships about the team scoring and also the team composition do NOT apply.
